This is the second part of a shoot from early last year, where I spent two days working with the fantastic Håkon Grønning. Firstly we were shooting at The Pit Studio in Nottingham, the results of which you may have already seen in my blog post ‘Open Space & Brick Walls‘, then next we moved onto Manchester, renting out in a photogenic apartment and then headed to the brilliant Victoria Baths the following day.
I see so many gorgeous colour sets spread over these two blog posts, from purples to cool blues, warm glowing reds to turquoise greens, and of course some stunning black and white images. I hope you enjoy them! I’m happy to say Håkon recently won an award for ‘Norwegian Champion’ 2015-2016, with some of our images from these shoots. So deserved! You can check out his own blog post here!
We will be working again in Norway in August on a super exciting mega roadtrip, I’m very much looking forward to creating more beautiful images together! 🙂

Mellow morning moods in the cool light of the apartment…
I love the cross section compositions in the shots above, the back shots by the window and tucked inside the in-built shelves (perfectly sized for an art nude model! Don’t mind if I do)
Lines & form in the geometric shapes of the hallway, and quiet reflective moments…
Now inside the photographic paradise of decaying textured backdrops, sumptuous turkish baths, gorgeous stained glass and very cold pools!…
I absolutely adore the rich colours and diverse, fascinating structures at this location. The green tiles in the room with the stained glass windows are stunning, and I love the colour contrast with my hair.
With no central heating, it can be an extremely cold location, and it certainly was in February! Lying on the floor of the empty swimming pool, naked, was quite frightful, but that’s what us art models do for a good picture 🙂 Håkon was more than considerate with warm-up breaks, and as always when temperatures are hard to deal with, everything was planned and ‘rehearsed’, test shots taken with me in thick christmas leggings and fluffy dressing gown! Apparently those images don’t win as many awards though, can’t think why 😛
