Tomorrow I’m flying off for an interesting working week in  Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. It sounds kinda fancy that I am visiting 3 countries all in one but it’s just that the places I’m heading are fairly close to the country borders, but it is exciting travelling in mainland Europe that it’s so easy to get from place to place. I’ve had quite a few enquiries for visiting other parts of Europe – Paris, Sweden, Switzerland… so hope to make more tours this summer that can encorporate a few regions at once. I’m excited to go to Belgium for the first time, and will have a bit of time to sightsee, and will be  planning to return again in a few months to work with some other photographers.

The work in Netherlands is 2 more workshops with fine art photographer Eric Kellerman, in Nijmegen. The last one in January this year went so well he scheduled 2 more, and you can see a video here from the last event made my the organisers at Zoom Magazine. In the workshop we have posh chocolates and coffee to start the day, a presentation and slideshow by Eric, and a short model talk from me, a delicious lunch at the local cafe, then we shoot great nudes in The Box, bodyscapes and stripe lighting! He’ll also be holding further workshops with the fantastic Kayleigh Lush, so do check out his website and get in contact with him should you be interested in booking on in future (he speaks most of it in English); it’s a super workshop to people new to nude photography and those wanting to try out some cool studio lighting techniques.

Last visit we had some time to shoot in Eric’s home studio, some more amazing bodyscapes…

I love the 3rd one here especially, how my skin looks like thick, marine skin almost… like a shark or whale or dolphin, the lighting skimming razor hipbones and ribs, like silvery grey gills. The shiny slickness looks like it could be both smooth and soft as well as rough and firm. I’ve said before how much I admire the sculptoral feel Eric captures in his bodyscapes, the brilliant angles and details he notices. I adore the fleshy bumps and curves of the 4th one down, like what is going on there? Amazing. Photos like these make me so grateful that I can put forward my body as a canvas for an artist’s vision.
