Ivory Flame Model Blog - Fragments in Time

The festive season has been exciting and magical, and the extra time at home has given me some opportunity to catch up on admin things. As well as taking modelling bookings and making loose plans for travel and events in 2017 (details in a newsletter going out soon!) I’ve also been sitting down at my computer attempting to organise & untangle the colossal amalgamation of image folders I have on my harddrives and dropbox. In my archives there is so much wonderful work I’m very proud to have contributed to (many images scanning some years back) that I would still love to document here, as well as better keep up with sharing recent shoots. In the upcoming months I endeavour to publish more here, though the posts may end up with focus on the photos themselves rather than much accompanying text – but at least it gets them out there for more people to see.

These images by Donatas Zazirskas are from 2015, taken in my old apartment and nearby riverside locations. I have previously shared a few on social profiles, but they certainly deserve a place on my blog to show off the whole set. Donatas is very talented photographer with such an evocative style, and a great eye for capturing interesting angles, light and mood. He also gives interesting direction and suggestions that helped me push to find what suited his vision and storytelling; sometimes something simpler and less contrived in expression, and other times more particular, staged and poetic. I always appreciate when a photographer gives attention to the fine details of expression and body language, and allows a model to bring a different piece of themselves to the camera. I will also share the results of our second shoot soon, taken in my newer apartment.
